Nord Stream-2 has received a permit for construction in German territorial waters, the company's website reported.

According to the statement, “today, Nord Stream-2 AG received permission to build and operate the offshore section of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline in German territorial waters and the landfall area around eastern Germany’s Lubmin. The Stralsund mining department issued an official permit for the construction of a 55-kilometer section of the gas pipeline in accordance with the law on the energy industry.”

 In early November 2017, the Stralsund Ministry issued a permit for work in the continental shelf of Germany.
