YEREVAN. – Settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict shall in no way violate the right of Artsakh people to live freely in their country.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated about the aforesaid at Thursday’s joint briefing with visiting Lebanese President Michel Aoun, in capital city Yerevan (PHOTOS).

Sargsyan said he briefed his Lebanese colleague on the current phase in the resolution of this conflict.

“The right of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to live freely in their land shall be at the basis of the settlement,” stressed the Armenian president.

As per Sargsyan, the Armenian and Lebanese sides agreed on the importance of the continuation of the negotiation process.

Such matters cannot be resolved by force, added the President of Armenia.
