YEREVAN. – Five members of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of Armenia have been elected (PHOTOS).

As a result of Wednesday’s respective secret ballot at the National Assembly (NA), Constitutional Court President Gagik Harutyunyan, who was nominated for the first position in the SJC, received 96 votes for and 2 against.

Former Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan, civil law specialist Liparit Melikjanyan, attorney Hayk Hovhannisyan, and civil litigation specialist Sergey Meghryan also were elected SJC members.

After the announcing of the voting results, the swearing-in ceremony of the SJC members was held at the NA.
