YEREVAN. –The participation of the army in March 1 events must be proved based on the facts and within the legal framework, the leader of the Heritage party Raffi Hovhannisian told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked to comment on the statement of the head of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan about the involvement of the army in March 1 tragic events he said: “I took note of this statement. I can only hope that the announced will be given a course within the legal framework and proved on the basis of facts. We will voice a clearer position then.”

He did not rule out there is probably a reason that this statement was not made earlier.

“Everything should be within the legal framework, as actions made under emotional statements will not benefit the state,” Hovhannisian noted.
