YEREVAN. – The format of the OSCE Minsk Group has been and will remain the most effective one, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said in an interview with Armenia’s public television.
“Any attempts to change the format will not be effective. We are against this,” he said.
Asked about the prospects of expending the office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, the minister said that unfortunately Azerbaijan continues to block the initiative.
The minister recalled that the problem is more complicated. The matter is about the need to create an atmosphere contributing to progress in negotiations, first of all by respecting the ceasefire and eliminating all the threats that can lead to escalation.
