STEPANAKERT. – On the Day of National Mourning, which was declared in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) upon the death of Armenia’s National Hero Charles Aznavour, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan on Saturday attended a commemorative ceremony for the legendary French Armenian singer.

National Assembly Chairman Ashot Ghulyan, Minister of State Grigori Martirosyan, several other officials, as well as hundreds of people and guests also were on hand at the event that was held at the cultural center named after this distinguished Armenian, in capital city Stepanakert, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Charles Aznavour passed away Monday aged 94, in his house in southern France, and of natural causes.
