A newlywed couple in capital city Yerevan also has cast its ballot in Sunday’s snap parliamentary election in Armenia.

Attorney Garik Galikyan wrote about the aforesaid on his blog.

“A person should be such a best man to take the bride from the church, directly to the polling station for election,” he added.

The first ever snap parliamentary election in Armenia’s history is in progress Sunday.

Eleven political forces—two alliances and nine parties—are running for the National Assembly (NA).

As a result of this election, the NA seats will be distributed proportionally among the political forces that have passed the respective minimum thresholds: 5% for parties, and 7% for alliances.

The Constitution of Armenia guarantees the presence of at least three political forces in the legislature.
