YEREVAN. – The government is considered to be formed when two-thirds of the government members are appointed; we will go on that “road.” Two-thirds of the government members will be appointed, whereas the one-third will not be appointed until we clarify—until the last detail—the matters in connection with changes in government structure.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated the aforementioned at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Government of Armenia.

In his words, however, it is apparent that the number of ministries will be reduced, but this process shall be carried out as smoothly as possible.

“For that reason, we will go with such a roadmap,” Pashinyan stressed.

As reported earlier, the Government of Armenia has introduced a bill on making changes in the government makeup, and according to which, the number of ministries are planned to be reduced from seventeen down to twelve. At present, the relevant departments are debating on this proposed law.
