STEPANAKERT. – President of the National Assembly (NA) of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), Ashot Ghoulyan, on Wednesday with vice president Sylvie Guillaume (France) of the European Parliament.

Thanking for the meeting, the Artsakh parliament speaker stressed the importance of such opportunities in terms of providing impartial and first-hand information about Artsakh to the members of European organizations, the Artsakh NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Welcoming the head of Artsakh’s legislature, Guillaume consider it indispensable to update information on Artsakh, and she underscored the continued development of relations and stressed that there is a great potential in this regard.

The interlocutors reflected on the friendship between the French and Armenian peoples, further development of democracy and ensuring the rule of law in Artsakh, organization of electoral processes, and expansion of the capabilities of parliamentary diplomacy.

In addition, they assured their readiness to continue cooperation also after the forthcoming elections of the European Parliament.
