The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has arrived in Jermuk to meet with the residents of this town.

At the town square, a group of Jermuk residents expressed a wish to meet with the PM and present to him their arguments as to why the Amulsar gold mine should not be operated.

“You are being reported on inaccurately,” one resident told Pashinyan, “there is no force behind us.”

The premier, however, disagreed.

And after his departure, people began chanting, “Amulsar will not become a mine!”

Pashinyan is currently visiting the apartments of Jermuk residents and speaking with them.
