The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan, received representatives of the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce.

The minister presented the peculiarities of Armenia’s economy, and highlighted its geographical position and cultural similarities between neighboring countries.

In Khachatryan’s words, Armenian businessmen’s knowledge on and views about the Iranian economy and the Russian economic climate can be very productive for cooperation.

Also, the minister attached importance to the provisional free-trade agreement signed between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Furthermore, the minister of economy touched upon the economic climate in Armenia.

Hervik Yarijanian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce, for his part, stressed the importance of discussions with the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
