Materials on the fact of the riots at the penitentiary institutions in Yerevan have been prepared on the evening of September 5, Nona Navikyan, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice's Criminal Executive Department told Armenian News - NEWS.am.

Riots previously reported in several prisons.

According to reports, the cause of the riots was a bill on criminal liability against thieves in law and criminal authorities.
