The garbage disposal problem has already been resolved, the Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan told reporters Tuesday after the session of the Yerevan Council of Elders.

"I am not saying the garbage has already been collected, as there are garbage dumps in the city from Sanitek, but a community agency has been created that will quickly fill that gap,” he said. "I will not let the city of Yerevan deal with such a problem anymore. Now I am building a system that no matter who the mayor is, the residents of Yerevan will probably not face this problem again.”
