YEREVAN. – We proceed from the fact that the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held on October 1, in Yerevan. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin on Wednesday told this to reporters, when asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in October.

“And do you have other information?” he asked rhetorically and continued: “I have no other information. We proceed from the fact that the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held on October 1, in Yerevan, and that event is held at the level of the Presidents.”

“One has to wait,” the Russian ambassador responded, in short, to the query about the likelihood of Putin’s visit to Armenia.

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the highest supranational body of the Eurasian Economic Union which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
