YEREVAN. – The Police of Armenia presented details of the consultation held Wednesday at the Police Headquarters, and chaired by now former Chief of Police Valeriy Osipyan.

He summed up the work of the police during his tenure, stressing that the law enforcement system had made achievements in the fight against corruption, traffic safety, protection of public order, and the fight against crime by properly exercising the powers conferred by law on the police.

Also, Osipyan thanked all police officers, law enforcement veterans, and members of the Public Council for their joint work during this time.

He particularly expressed his satisfaction with the police troops, stating that the exercise of the border guard function of this public-order-maintaining police unit is also a key achievement of Armenia’s law enforcement system.

Valeriy Osipyan added that the Police of Armenia will confidently continue their accomplishments and, if necessary, he stands ready to assist the law enforcement system with his knowhow and knowledge.
