GYUMRI. – Celebrations dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Independence kicked off in Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city.

By the decision of the government for the first time the main events of the Independence Day are held in the northern capital of Armenia.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Cabinet members, President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan, President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, deputies and ambassadors accredited in Armenia are attending the events.

Hundreds of guests from Yerevan and other cities have arrived in Gyumri.
