By the decree of the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, Grigory Hayrapetov was relieved of the post of head of the State Security Service of the National Security Service, Armenian President's press service reported.

Grigory Hayrapetov was appointed to this post on June 12, 2018, almost a month after the velvet revolution in Armenia. Until that moment, he was the chief of security for two presidents of the republic - Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan.
