Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan yesterday met with President of Bank of China Liu Liange in Beijing. Bank of China is the world’s fourth largest bank.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the prospects for Armenia’s economic development, including the opportunities for investments in the fields of infrastructures, education, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and high technologies.

Liu Liange stressed the attractive geographical position of Armenia and the favorable environment for growth of business and expressed willingness to deepen further cooperation, including within the scope of the Belt and Road Initiative, and Tigran Avinyan invited the Bank’s president to Armenia to consider potential joint initiatives.

At the end of the meeting, the parties, namely Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Varos Simonyan and Director of the Qatar branch of the Bank of China signed a memorandum of mutual understanding.
