YEREVAN. – During the past year and a half, the Pashinyan-Mnatsakanyan pair's exploits in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement have ended with the Pashinyan-Mnatsakanyan pair again held on to the Sargsyan-Nalbandian pair’s negotiation package as a "lifeline" from the impending crisis and catastrophe. RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan said this at a press conference today.

Ashotyan opined that the Bratislava discussion on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is still vague. "There is a clear dissonance until the negotiation process and the outcome on the margins of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs," he said. "The [incumbent Armenian] government that has declared itself transparent should explain to us what happened in Bratislava."

The RPA Vice President also listed, in his opinion, the negative consequences of all this.

"One of the negative consequences is that the 'taste' has remained in the ‘mouth’ of Azerbaijan,” he said, in particular “especially, in connection with the issue of the return of refugees, in connection with peace messages from the Armenian side."

Ashotyan stressed that PM Nikol Pashinyan should change the political system in Armenia.

"If Nikol Pashinyan has kept the last signs of reason, then he should launch snap elections in the National Assembly next year," he said. "It is obvious that alas, the [current] National Assembly was stillborn from the very beginning, it, as the number one podium, does not represent the whole palette of the public-political field."
