The Prosperous Armenia Party could not vote for the legislative initiative, which provides for the early and honorable retirement of CC judges , who did not even fully exercise their powers and functions, said the Prosperous Armenia party MP Iveta Tonoyan.

According to her, on the one hand, the government fixes that members of the CC do not enjoy public trust, and on the other hand, it sets rather generous pensions for their inaction.

“Everyone understands why this legislative initiative is being implemented. This is just a logical continuation of the failed initiative to express no confidence in Hrayr Tovmasyan (Armenian CC chair - ed.)," she noted.

The notorious law was adopted by the My Step ruling bloc efforts. Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia parties MPs voted against.
