YEREVAN. – The treatment towards the military and political leadership of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) is lacking. Aghvan Vardanyan, ex-MP and coordinator of the committee for the freedom of second President Robert Kocharyan of the Republic of Armenia, told this to reporters at Yerablur Military Pantheon today.

According to Vardanyan, there is no festive mood in Yerevan on this 28th anniversary of the Armenian army.

"We lack our faithfulness before the memory of our fallen and their glorification every day," he said, in particular.

Vardanyan noted that the spirit and treatment towards the army is also lacking.

“Treatment toward the military and political leadership of Artsakh [lacks]; they are under pressure and persecution,” he added. "It is done by a [political] team whose at least 50 percent has had nothing to do with the army."
