In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly Vardan Ghukasyan touched upon the fact that he might be summoned to an interview by investigators and said he doesn’t accept that he is involved with the unlawful alienation of certain territories and constructions in Gyumri.

“What they’re saying is nonsense. There have been many inspections. We have all the permits and a certificate. Why are they causing uproar? This is another show,” he said.

Ghukasyan said he was the first to pay $30,000 for the establishment of TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and is amazed at what’s happening now.

He stated that he will go to the preliminary investigation body, if the law requires.

As reported earlier, ex-mayor of Gyumri, deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Vardan Ghukasyan will be interviewed within the scope of the criminal case instituted on the basis of the report filed by TUMO Center for Creative Technologies. “One of the specified cases has been instituted based on the report filed by the administration of TUMO Center for Creative Technologies that challenges the fact that there are territories and constructions that the specified mayor had unlawfully alienated to other persons in the past. A criminal case has been instituted for misuse of official position and commission of official fraud,” the regional prosecutor said.
