On February 4, Russia set a ban on transit flights for foreign citizens from China, and starting from February 14, Russia will cancel all charter flights between the two countries. This is what Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatiana Golikova declared, reports RIA Novosti.

“Everyone has been warned. The forces of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare) are taking necessary measures at all border checkpoints in order to detect those with sharp respiratory viruses and prevent them from crossing the border,” Golikova added during a meeting with government officials.

Russia had already restricted air communication with China on February 1. The only regular flights are the flights to Sheremetevo Airport in Moscow.
