President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today had a working meeting with Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan.

The interlocutors touched upon the agenda of constitutional amendments, the judicial and legal reforms, the fight against corruption and human rights protection in Armenia, international cooperation in these sectors, as well as several other issues.

The minister informed the President about the activities of the Professional Commission on Constitutional Reforms.

Attaching importance to the constitutional reforms, President Sarkissian said any constitutional reform must be hinged on the principle of rule of law. He also shared his notions of and approaches to the constitutional reforms and said the Staff of the President is willing to collaborate with the Ministry of Justice and the Professional Commission on Constitutional Reforms with its potential and recommendations.
