Iran has criticized the recent offer by US President Donald Trump to provide aid to fight coronavirus, PressTV reported.

“Instead of hypocritical displays of compassion and repulsive bragging, you should end your economic and medical terrorism so that medicine and medical supplies can reach medical staff and the Iranian people,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi tweeted on Friday.

Trump said on Thursday Iran is “facing a tremendous problem” and the US offered aid to the country. According to him, they have “the best, bravest and most component medical staff in the world”.

“We do not need American doctors,” Mousavi said, adding that Washington should take care of its people amid the coronavirus pandemic.
