Tremors were recorded at 1:57 am local time.

According to local experts, there is no threat of a tsunami. No information yet about the victims and the destruction, RG reported referring to NHK.

The epicenter of seismic activity was located at a depth of 70 kilometers in the northwestern part of Chiba Prefecture.
