The government and the Commandant’s Office have placed checkpoints and are checking to see if everyone is wearing face masks. We have recorded several cases when people wear face masks when they approach a particular checkpoint and then remove the face mask. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated during a briefing held after the session of the Commandant’s Office today.

“I was criticizing police officers’ work more yesterday than today because when I saw how many people are violating the anti-epidemic rules yesterday, I was horrified. There are even police officers who aren’t following the rules. If I was infected with the virus, it means I also hadn’t followed the rules. Let’s accept the fact that we all have made mistakes and let’s make sure the situation is under our control,” he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that the government and the Commandant’s Office have found out that dozens of weddings were planned for the upcoming weekend with hundreds of guests and have cancelled those weddings.
