The regional governor’s office of Syunik Province of Armenia has posted the following announcement on its Facebook page:
“Dear residents of Syunik Province,
We are addressing you once again with the certainty that you realize the gravity of the situation and will give an adequate response to the situation. Unfortunately, we need to state that we aren’t seeing an adequate response to the situation.
Currently, there are 103 confirmed coronavirus cases (60 patients have recovered, 43 are undergoing treatment, 29 patients are asymptomatic, 338 patients are self-isolated).
There have been 23 new cases over the past three days.
The analysis shows that the province wouldn’t have reported such a growth of cases, if people clearly followed the rules.
Once again, we urge residents to be calm and not put our, our relatives’ and close ones’ health and lives at risk and demand that nobody participates in massive events.”
