The Armenian Unified Information Center has posted an announcement stating that the gold market in Armenia won’t be operating for 24 hours.

The announcement particularly states the following:

“The operation of the gold market has been suspended for 24 hours.

Accumulation of people, absence of line-markings, desks placed extremely close to each other, problems with maintaining social distancing and other problems — based on these and other violations recorded by the Health and Labor Inspectorate of Armenia, the Commandant for the state of emergency has suspended the operation of the well-known gold market (Vagharsh and Sons Concern LLC) located in Yerevan.

Before this, the operation of certain pavilions of the market had been suspended.”
