YEREVAN. – We have studied 44 product markets. During this period, no price increases were noticed, except for a few products: citrus fruits, ginger, and face masks. Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC), on Monday mentioned this in a talk with journalists in the National Assembly of Armenia.

"That is, apart from the fluctuation of the [US] dollar’s exchange rate and the increase in travel expenses which had a very small impact, there was no significant increase in prices. There is a decrease in prices for essential consumer goods; that decrease is quite apparent compared to 2018-2019,” the SCPEC chief added.

Also, Gevorgyan stressed that there is no shortage of goods at the moment in Armenia.
