The manufacturing industry in Armenia grew faster in 2019 than the industry related to raw materials, said economy minister Tigran Khachatryan during Monday's debates on the 2019 state budget performance report.

According to him, in 2019 the economy increased by 7.6%, however, most of it (5.2%) fell on services - largely on the import of cars, and only 1.9% came from industry.

The minister noted the industry was growing mainly due to the manufacturing industry (5%), but not the industry related to raw materials (4.1%).
