YEREVAN. – Some media outlets claim that more people have died as a result of coronavirus in Armenia than in the four days of the April 2016 escalation. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this at Friday’s National Assembly debates on extending the state of emergency in the country for another month, while answering the MPs' questions.

According to the Prime Minister, more people died as a result of the coronavirus in the United States than during the Iraq-Kuwait war.

Moreover, as per Pashinyan, there were years when more people died in four days than during the whole period of the escalation in April 2016.
