YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday morning visited the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), where he introduced the new CBA governor, Martin Galstyan, to the staff of the bank.

"Today we are saying goodbye to the governor of the Central Bank, Arthur Javadyan, and the new governor of the Central Bank, Martin Galstyan, is starting his term as of today. Mr. Javadyan, I once again thank you for your work and contribution during this time. Mr. Galstyan, I would like to congratulate you and wish you success in your activities as the [new] governor of the Central Bank," Pashinyan said.

The PM emphasized that Martin Galstyan is not a new person in the banking system, and he has been working in this system for a long time. "The banking system is one of the important achievements of our third republic, and the banking system is well-established and stable in the Republic of Armenia.

This change, which is happening now, is important in the sense that it provides certain continuity. On the other hand, this symbolizes the course and necessity of changes without disruption of stability, development of reforms,” the PM added, in particular.
