YEREVAN. – The level of safety at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is higher than in Japan’s Fukushima, said Armenian Minister if Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan.

He noted that Armenia is following international experience aimed at increasing safety at the Armenian NPP.

“We implement it [safety measures] to ensure that the Armenian NPP will withstand natural disasters,” the minister said in parliament on Wednesday.
