Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan and US Ambassador Lynne Tracy today visited Armberry CJSC in Zoravan village of Kotayk Province for monitoring.

The guests toured the berry gardens, which are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, hail protection networks, refrigerators and a pool that helps make sure the berry gardens are watered with clean water. There are special conditions for growing organic raspberries and blackberries. The guests were told that there is a berry farm where there are seedlings, and the organization is willing to purchase and market the grown crops.

Executive Director of Armberry Harutyuan Pakhchanyan presented the current activities and the company’s new initiative to work with farmers through which farmers will obtain seedlings from the company and receive consulting.

The company plans to expand its activities by taking advantage of the state support programs developed by the Ministry of Economy. During the tour, the deputy minister underscored the importance and effectiveness of the government’s programs.

“We’re glad to state that, in cooperation with the Armenian government and organizations like the USAID, the US government is able to help businesses succeed. Armberry serves as a wonderful example of a business that is growing as a result of the trilateral cooperation,” Ambassador Tracy stated as she summed up the results of the tour.
