STEPANAKERT. – Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Haroutyunyan on Wednesday visited the Stepanakert city memorial—together with speaker Ararat Mirzoyan of the National Assembly of Armenia—on the occasion of Artsakh Republic Day, and laid a wreath in memory of those who have fallen in the Artsakh and the Great Patriotic War, the presidential administration reported.
Haroutyunyan and Mirzoyan laid flowers also at the graves of those who have fallen in the Artsakh war, and at the monument to Hero of Artsakh Artur Mkrtchyan, the First Chairman of the Supreme Council—parliament—of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
MPs from the two Armenian republics, senior members of the governments, and representatives of the command staff of the Artsakh Defense Army also were on hand at this official ceremony.
