Representatives of the diplomatic departments of the CIS countries discussed Friday the issues on the agenda of the upcoming 75th session of the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The main attention was paid to the issues of coordination of positions in the General Assembly, mutual support of candidates for elections to UN bodies, implementation of the sustainable development agenda for the period up to 2030, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The diplomatic service noted that the conference was attended by the heads of the relevant departments of the ministries of foreign affairs and representatives of the embassies of the participating states, as well as employees of the CIS Executive Committee. The Foreign Ministry added that the consultations that took place made it possible to outline ways to deepen cooperation between the CIS countries at the UN platform, TASS reported.
