YEREVAN. – Armenian nationals wishing to leave for Russia on Monday staged a car protest in the streets of Yerevan.

Their car protest ended at Republic Square, where they decided to hold a rally.

On September 4, they had held a protest outside the National Assembly (NA), where NA deputy speaker Alen Simonyan had met with them, noting that the solution to this issue was not up to Armenia because it was Russia and Georgia that did not allow Armenian citizens to enter their territory.

The protesters, in turn, had asked the Armenian authorities to be more open, to present the results of the respective negotiations with those countries, and to negotiate in such a way that the issue would be resolved, as they have been deprived of the opportunity to see their families in Russia for several months now.
