Narek Ghahramanyan, who is next on the proportional list of the My Step Alliance, will replace Arsen Julfalakyan, who has declared that he is dropping his parliamentary mandate. In 2018, Ghahramanyan was appointed acting mayor of Kapan upon Pashinyan’s decision.

Ghahramanyan was born on April 16, 1991 in Kapan, graduated from Yerevan State University, has served in the Armed Forces of Armenia and has worked for various organizations. Since 2015, he is a founding member of the Civil Contract Party.

As reported earlier, deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Arsen Julfalakyan has addressed Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan to drop his parliamentary mandate.

In his statement, Julfalakyan stated that the main reason for dropping his mandate was his fundamental disagreements with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan and his approaches to management of the sectors under his subordination.
