Hawaii will finally lift mandatory quarantine rules for tourists with COVID-19 negative tests, Travel and Leisure reported referring to Governor David Ige.

Travelers with a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of arriving in Hawaii will be able to avoid the 14-day quarantine. The new rule will take effect on October 15.

The tourists will undergo body temperature measurements and medical examinations.
