Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Hayk Grigoryan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco and discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Greeting the Ambassador, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia highly appreciated the friendly relations between the two countries and attached importance to the traditions of cooperation established between the law-enforcement authorities of both countries.

“During its existence, the Investigative Committee has felt the support of its colleagues in Italy, one of the particular manifestations of which is the proper legal aid provided through the inquiries sent to Italy for legal aid under the cases examined under the proceedings of the Investigative Committee of Armenia,” Grigoryan said.

The parties also touched upon the visit of attaché of the Financial Guard of the Embassy of Italy in the Russian Federation, General Maurizio Muscara to the Investigative Committee in March 2020, as a result of which a draft Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was developed, but the signing of the MoU was postponed due to the pandemic.
