I have never insisted that the Constitutional Court is in a crisis. This is what newly elected judge of the Constitutional Court of Armenia Edgar Shatiryan told reporters today, responding to the question whether the crisis in the Constitutional Court will end with the election of the President or not.

“I am one of the judges who joined the Court. First, I have never insisted that the Constitutional Court is in a crisis. I have stated that there are certain problems that require solutions and have spoken publicly about the procedure for providing solutions several times. My colleagues, the public and civil society have different views, but that’s a different story. At this moment, as a judge of the Constitutional Court, I obviously have no comment,” Shatiryan said.
