The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin, discussed the situation on the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact during a telephone conversation on Wednesday. This is the first conversation between the leaders of the two countries since the beginning of hostilities in the region.
During the telephone conversation, the heads of state discussed the situation around the Armenian-Azerbaijani Karabakh conflict, Aliyev's press service said in a statement said.
