The deployment of peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh is possible only with the consent of Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president.

"The primary question here is whether the conflicting parties, namely Armenia and Azerbaijan, are ready for it. The deployment of any peacekeeper or observer is possible only with the consent of the parties," Peskov said in response to a reporter's question as to whether Russia was ready to send a contingent of peacekeepers to Nagorno-Karabakh.

"We have not received an answer yet," he added.
