According to the confirmed data, there are seventeen Armenian servicemen who have been taken prisoner by the Azerbaijani side. Rafayel Vardanyan, head of the Criminal-Legal Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, stated this at Tuesday’s press conference dedicated to the legal processes related to the Azerbaijani-Turkish military aggression.

According to him, the data related to two more military and civilian persons are being clarified, the Armenian side is working with the ECHR, petitions have been submitted for the provision of measures aimed at providing medical care and protection of life and health, some of these petitions have already been approved, and the others are under consideration.

The representative of the Investigative Committee also said that two Azerbaijani POWs were questioned within the framework of the criminal case. "The captives are being held in accordance with all the rules of the international humanitarian law, they have been provided with a high level of medical care and three meals a day. During the questioning, one of them even admitted that he would hardly be taken care of this well in Azerbaijan," Rafayel Vardanyan said.
