The Human Rights Organization - Afrin - Syria has posted the following on its Facebook page:

“Turkey is opening two offices in Afrin to register those Turkmen settlers wishing to be resettled in Artsakh

According to multiple corresponding sources from Afrin, the Turkish occupation authorities have recently opened two offices in the city center to receive Turkmen settler families wishing to register their names in preparation for their transfer to the Artsakh/ Qarabakh region, with the aim of final resettlement in the areas recently taken over by Azerbaijani army.

The same sources confirmed that the first office is located in the former centre of Popular Credit Bank in old Afrin neighbourhood, now a centre for the Turkish intelligence, while the second office is located in the former Kurdish "Ronahi Printing Office” located next to the former “Afrin Hospital( Al-Shifaa Hospital now) in the New Afrin neighborhood, which is also a center for Turkish intelligence.

Eyewitness accounts say that the two offices witness a turnout of Turkmen families, especially those Arab bedouins from the Syrian province of Homs who claim their Turkish roots, indicating that family data are taken in preparation for transferring them to Azerbaijan to replace forcibly displaced Armenian natives of Artsakh region.

The sources also pointed out that the so-called “Abu Tharwat”, an agent of the Turkish intelligence, who comes from the countryside of Azaz, runs the first office, while the second office is run by the so-called “Khiru,” who is a Turkmen from one of the villages of al-Raai subdistrict of Azaz next to the Turkish border, north of Syrian city of Aleppo.

Turkish Intelligence Service and the terrorist Grey Wolves gangs coordinate this resettlement plan of Turkmen families with the pro-Turkey predominantly Syrian Turkmen armed factions such as Sultan Murad, Suleyman Shah, al-Hamzat, among others.”
