Major initiatives were carried out in the judicial sector when I was working for Open Society Foundations. This is what candidate for member of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia Davit Khachaturyan said in response to MP Taguhi Tovmasyan’s question regarding his work for Open Society Foundations.

The MP said there are many statements about the activities of Open Society Foundations that are targeted against Armenia’s interests and asked Khachaturyan to affirm that he will only work in the interests of Armenia.

“I will only work in the interests of Armenia, but this doesn’t mean that I accept the view that Open Society Foundations has carried out other activities. You said these are statements, and those statements obviously have no impact on my loyalty,” Khachaturyan said, adding that the Open Society Foundations organization has carried out several major initiatives in the education and judicial sectors.
