Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan conveyed the following message on the occasion of Armenian Army Day:
“Dear compatriots, soldiers, subalterns, officers and army generals,
The Armenian army is the exceptional symbol of Armenian statehood and the main guarantor of independence of the state and the security of each and every one of us. It is one of the most valuable achievements of us Armenians.
We will overcome all the hardships and challenges with honor for the empowerment of our homeland and the bright future of our children. However, for this we need to truly realize the value of statehood and move forward united as one.
The issues related to servicemen and their families and the rights of women in the armed forces are in my focus on a daily basis.
Eternal glory to our heroes who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and speedy recovery to all the wounded.
May God protect our heroic army, our people and our country.
