During today’s briefing, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said the specialists of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have been working on the provision of humanitarian aid to the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions in the region since November 2020.

Zakharova explained by saying that the provision of medical aid to the population, the demining of territories and patrol service for prevention and elimination of emergency situations in unfavorable weather are among the priority areas of activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and other Russian government agencies are in close contact with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides, including in regard to the operation of the international humanitarian response center,” Zakharova added.
