President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today sent a congratulatory message to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The message reads as follows:
“I am certain that our friendly ties hinged on centuries-old traditions will continue to grow and become strengthened in politics and economy by overcoming all the obstacles.
Today, in the difficult situation created in the region, the relations between Armenia and Iran have become important more than ever, and the speedy development of those relations is the imperative of the day.”
President Sarkissian wished Rouhani good health and all the best, and wished the friendly people of Iran peace and welfare.
President Sarkissian also sent a congratulatory message to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The message reads as follows:
“In the difficult situation created in the world and particularly in our region, Armenia and Iran need to consistently enhance the bilateral cooperation in various fields, the guarantee of success of which is the centuries-old friendship.”
President Sarkissian expressed certainty that deepening of the political dialogue hinged on mutual respect for each other’s religion and culture will make a great contribution to peace and stability in the region.
